1995 to 1999
Guilford College, Greensboro North Carolina
After taking a year off between high school and college, I moved to Greensboro, NC to attend Guilford College. Guilford is a small liberal arts school founded on the Quaker principles. When I was there, Guilford had about 1500 students. It is located on the outskirts of Greensboro and has a really nice campus with a decent size wooded area to play in. I played there a lot.
I had a great experience at Guilford. My major was psychology, although I didn't have a clue what I would do with that degree once I was done. My minor was art, which I loved but not quite enough to major in it. I made a lot of good friends while at Guilford, some of whom are still very important in my life.
Once I graduated in 1999, I stuck around Greensboro for a few months, mostly because I didn't have a clue what else to do. I realized I couldn't really stand Greensboro once I was out of school, and I desperately missed the mountains, so I packed my bags and headed west....to Asheville.
